Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.

For the most part I've done pretty good with teachers. There was only one I didn't do to well with. She was the teacher everyone said was strict and not nice, except for the people in her class. Once I was in her class it became apparent that there was another group, the people in her class who didn't do as well as she thought they should. Which meant that people with minor problems elsewhere fell into the 'bad' list. Bad from her point of view anyway. Somehow my being mistreated by other kids and not wanting to be at school seemed to make her grouchy. All the while smiling and giving out stars. It was very annoying. However aside from that the most problems I've had with teachers is agreeing with the main character that a certain teacher(s) are complete jerks. Harry Potter, Frindle, etc.
