How important is honesty to you? Is it more important than kindness? Share a story of a time you or someone you know was not honest and it caused problems or was 'too honest' and it caused problems.

Important though the government wouldn't run well if they couldn't keep a secret. It depends, sometimes they are in direct conflict. For instance when a childs pet dies what are you supposed to do? Be honest and deal with a possibly traumatized kid or however they react to death. Or do you be dishonest in order for their happiness or protection. There is plenty of stuff I wouldn't tell little kids. An excellant story for being to honest is that when my sister was younger she, my mom, another sister, and I were on a bus. The sister in question complimented a women's dress that had flowers on it. My sister had no visible flowers. She then proceeded to say, "I have flowers too." My mom grabed my her before she could show off her flowers, which were on her underwear.
